Forooz Razavi

Soprano

Iranian soprano Forooz Razavi is the winner of the 2017 Voci Verdiane Competition. She began her vocal studies under the guidance of voice teacher and mentor Ardalan Jabbari and became one of the young artists of Accademia Teatro alla Scala 2019/2021 Season, in which she made her debut as Alice Ford in Falstaff in September 2021 and Soprano in Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 in November 2021. Her upcoming debuts include Abigaille in Nabucco at Latvian National Opera (Latvia) in December 2022 and Los Angeles Virtuoso Gala Concert with conductor Carlo Ponti at Raymond Kabbaz Theater (United States) in September 2023.

Highlights of her operatic career include Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at Opera de Oviedo (Spain) covering for Soprano Anna Pirozzi, Alice Ford in Falstaff at Cottbus International Festival directed by Daniele Abbado, Annina in La Traviata at Teatro Regio di Parma as part of the Accademia Verdiana Opera Studio and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni at Immling Festival (Germany). She was also featured as principal soprano on Tenor Bryan Hymel’s latest recording, produced by Erato Warner Classics. The album contains a variety of Italian Belcanto arias.

Ms. Razavi was chosen by Tenor Yusif Eyvazov as part of his “Sing with me” contest to sing alongside him at his Berlin Philharmonie Recital in Germany. She is recipient of the Liricadomani award of the Magda Olivero International Competition and the Young Artist Award of the Angelo Loforese International Competition.
