Igor Durlofski

Durlovski was born in Bitola (Republic of Macedonia) in 1977. He graduated from the Faculty of Music Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and finished his Master degree with the highest grade „Cum Laude“.

Durlovski debuted in 1999 at the Macedonian Opera where he has participated in more than 20 premiere productions. His international debut was at the Wiener Kammeroper as Nonacourt in Nino Rota’s II cappello di Paglia di Firenze, followed by the roles of Pluto in „Ballo delle lngrate“ and Plutone in „Euridice“.

In the 2009-2011 seasons he performed in numerous productions at the Staatstheater Kassel-Germany.

In 2013 debuted at the Leipziger Opera as Groma/Feenkönig in Wagners „Die Feen“, also performed at the Bayreuth Festspiele In 2014 he debuted at the Linzer Landestheater with Sarastro in a new production of „Die Zauberflöte“.

In 2015 at the Staatstheater Stuttgart as Aniceto in „Berenike“ 2016 he debuted with the role of Timur in Turandot in Macao China and in 2017 at the Hong Kong at Opera with „Aida“.

On the concert platform Durlovski has appeared as a soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, the Verdi and Mozart Requiems, Haydn „Die Schöpfung“ and has performed with Philharmonie orchestras of Moscow, Beigrade, Sofia, Skopje.

The Association of Macedonian Composers awarded him with the „Georgi Bozhikov Prize“. He was laureate at the international competition „Jeunesses Musicales“ in Belgrade.

In 2018, lgor Durlovski was appointed as Strategical assistant for Culture of the largest political party in Macedonia „VMRO-DPMNE“.

From 2018 to 2023 he is a member of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet where he performed in Nabucco (Zaccaria), Turandot (Timur), Aida (Ramfis/II Re), Die Zauberflöte (Sarastro), Requem Verdi, Lucia di Lammermoor (Raimondo) …

Avtandil Kaspeli

Avtandil Kaspeli studierte zunächst  Oboe.

Der georgische Bass begann darauf sein Gesangsstudium am Staatlichen Konservatorium seiner Heimatstadt Tiflis und setzte es bei Nikolaus Hillebrand am Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium München fort.

Er debütierte mit der Partie des Sparafucile (Rigoletto) beim Mozartensemble München.

Im Prinzregententheater München war er unter David Stahl als Colas (Bastien und Bastienne), Schnock (A Midsummer Night‘s Dream) sowie als Komtur (Don Giovanni) zu hören.

2011 bis 2018 gehörte er dem Ensemble des Badischen Staatstheaters Karlsruhe an. Hier sang er Partien wie

Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro), Komtur, Sarastro, Sprecher (Die Zauberflöte), Zacharias (Der Prophet), Hektor und Merkur (Die Trojaner), Zuniga (Carmen), Banquo (Macbeth), Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Pistola (Falstaff), Landgraf (Tannhäuser), Fafner und Hunding (Ring des Nibelungen), Titurel (Parsifal), Pimen (Boris Godunow), Angelotti (Tosca), Colline (La Bohème), Lorenzo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi) und Fürst (Adriana Lecouvreur).

Gastspiele führten ihn in jüngster Zeit u. a. als Landgraf in Patrick Kinmoths Neuinszenierung des Tannhäuser sowie als Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro) und Komtur an die Oper Köln.

In dieser Saison wird er mit den Partien des Sarastro und Ramfis am Aalto Theater in Essen gastieren

Zudem tritt der Kaspeli als Konzert- und Opernsänger regelmäßig in Deutschland, Italien, Bulgarien und Georgien auf.

Randall Jakobsh

From British Columbia (Canada), bass Randall Jakobsh pursued his vocal studies at the Juilliard School in New York and at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.He has established an international reputation appearing in important engagements with major opera companies in Europe and in North America.

His roles encompass a broad spectrum, from the bass repertoire with Sarastro, Osmin, Sparafucile, Daland, Fasolt, Fafner Hunding, Marke, Pogner Philip II, Zaccaria, Ramfis, Sparafucile, Gremin and Pimen, to Nick Shadow, Don Giovanni, Figaro, Scarpia, Escamillo, Holländer and Wotan in the bass-baritone repertoire.

A member of the Canadian Opera studio, he took part in several international young artist programs including Santa Fe, Tanglewood, the Banff Centre, the Aldeburgh Festival and sang Lord Sydney as a young artist in Viaggio a Reims at the Academy of the West and at the Wolftrap Opera.

Mr Jakobsh made his Salzburg debut under the baton of Kent Nagano as Pharnaces in a Christine Mielitz production of Zemlinsky’s König Kandaules, a role he reprised at the Opéra National de Lorraine  – Nancy, in Liege, in Luxembourg and at the Festival de Musica de Gran Canarias.

He debuted at Teatro Liceu in Barcelona as  Le Spectre in Thomas‘ Hamlet conducted by Bertrand de Billy in a production by Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier and returned there as L’Ombra di Nino in Rossini’s Semiramide conducted by Riccardo Frizza. Also on his schedule were performances in Nancy, Luxembourg as well as in Lille of Weill’s  Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny  (Trinity Moses)and was in Caen and Toulon as Theseus in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and in L’Opera de Tours as ‘Il grande Inquisitor in Don Carlo.

The bass appeared as Alidoro in La Cenerentola with Washington Opera again in a production by Moshe Leiser /Patrice Caurier and conducted by Riccardo Frizza and has also been heard with the Baltimore Opera as Escamillo in Carmen and as Sparafucile with New Orleans Opera.

In Canada, he has appeared as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, as Nilikantha in Lakme for L’Opera de Montreal and as Kaspar in Der Freischütz ,Giorgio in I Puritani and Alidoro in Italiana in Algeri for Vancouver Opera.

Fluent in German and English, he has been engaged by the opera houses of Köln, Hamburg, Kassel, Kiel,Aachen,Bielefeld, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and was in a ‚Fest Engagement‘ at the Niedersächsische Staatsoper Hannover in roles including Fasolt,Fafner and Hunding in Wagner’s Ring Cycle,Daland in Der Fliegende Holländer.Nick Shadow in the Rake’s Progress, Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Sarastro in Die Zauberfloete, Colline in  La Bohème, Pimen in Boris Godunov, Zaccaria in Nabucco and Philip II in Don Carlo.

His operatic repertoire scores of the 20thcentury: Pelléas et Mélisande  (Arkel),Griechische Passion by Martinu(Fotis) Lulu (Athlete, Tamer), Billy Budd (Claggart), The Rake’s Progress (Nick Shadow).

Recently he sang Sarastro,Arkel in Pelleas et Mélisande , Gremin in Eugen Onegin ,Kotchubei in Mazeppa and Scarpia conducted by Marcus Bosch and reprised the role of Sarastro at the Opéra de Rouen  – Haute Normandie (production of William Kentridge) and then appeared at the Opéra National de Lorraine – Nancy for the European premiere of Mieczyslaw Weinberg’s The Portrait.Additionally he participated in a staged version of Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle and reprised the role of Sparafucile in Rigoletto at the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken

In 2013 at the Staatstheater Nürnberg he sang Pogner in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, König Marke in Tristan und Isolde, Ramfis in Aida , the title role in Don Giovanni and the title role in Der fliegende Holländer.

Roles the past season included,Wotan in Das Rheingold, Hunding in Die Walküre, Waldner in Arabella and Rene in Les Huguenots at the Staatstheater Nürnberg as well as Escamillo at the Savonlinna Festival conducted by Frédéric Chaslin and the Forester in the David Pountney production of Prihody lisky Bystrousky at the Greek National Opera in Athens conducted by Jaroslav Kyzlink.

Ugo Rabec

Franco-Italian Bass, Ugo Rabec started studying violin at age four. He began to study singing with Elena Vassilieva in 2000 and was a member of Atelier Lyrique at the Paris Opera from 2005 to 2008. In 2007, he received the lyrical awards from Cercle Carpeaux and AROP 2006-2007. He was selected for the Academy of Verbier Festival in 2008. He followed the master classes of Claudio Desderi, Barbara Bonney, Angelika Kirchschlager, Guillemette Laurens, Raúl Giménez …

He interprets the French, Italian, German and Slavic repertoire of “ Noble Bass ”. He has already incarnated – on stage – Don Alfonso, Così fan tutte at Rennes Opera / Alidoro, Cenerentola at Wildbad Festival / Collatinus, The rape of Lucretia at Paris Athénée Theatre / Il commissario Imperiale, Madama Butterfly at Bastille Opera / Barlow, Le Maudit des Mers at Vienna Konzerthaus / Pluton, Hippolyte et Aricie at Palais Garnier / Commendatore, Don Giovanni at Bobigny Theatre / Monterone, Rigoletto at Rennes Opera…He also prepared roles such as Leporello, Don Giovanni / Basilio, Il barbiere di Siviglia / Bartolo and Figaro, Le Nozze di Figaro / Colline, La Boheme / Rodolfo, La Sonnambula… He will be singing in 2016 Alessio, Sonnambula at Philharmonie de Paris…

He has already been welcomed by houses such as Opera Bastille, Palais Garnier, Opera Comique and Salle Pleyel in Paris, Vienna Konzerthaus, London, Versailles, Strasbourg, Rennes, Nantes, Montpellier, Metz, Mulhouse, Verbier and Wildbad Festival…

He worked with well-acclaimed music directors such as: Daniel Oren, Valery Gergiev, Philippe Jordan, Marc Minkowski, Vasily Petrenko, Evelino Pido, Pinchas Steinberg, Jeffrey Tate, Carlo Rizzi, Alain Altinoglu, Michael Schønwandt, Paavo Järvi…
